Richard Hancock is Director inside the National Heavy Vehicle Project office. The NHVR project came to exist as part of a COAG agreement to find productivity, safety and efficiency gains by adopting a countrywide strategy to heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes laws and regulations.
It’s really a challenging and difficult venture as it takes consolidating legal guidelines and platforms across many various government jurisdictions in more or less two years. Currently there may also be many individuals who have a strong have a substantial interest in the heavy vehicle business who ,ight not share a common perspective as to what is called for.
When the challenge can set up a new regulator produced from its present strategy, it will likely be very useful for the profession and almost all Australians.
